Waxing Fundamentals

What is Non-Strip Wax (Hard Wax)?

Unlike traditional soft wax that requires cotton or non-woven strips to remove the wax, Cirépil’s Non-Strip hard wax sets up or hardens on the skin and is removed with no strip. Perron Rigot is recognized as the inventor of the original non-strip wax and patented low-temperature wax formulas that transformed professional waxing standards worldwide.

What is Strip Wax (Soft Wax)?

Cirépil and Épillyss strip waxes are applied in an ultra-thin layer and removed with non-woven strips. Our advanced formulas provide exceptional glide, clean removal, and optimal client comfort. Great for waxing large body areas such as legs, arms and backs.

What is the difference between Hard Wax and Soft Wax?

Hard wax does not require a non-woven strip to remove the wax. It is also best for smaller areas like underarms, face, bikini, Brazilian areas and great for sensitive skin types. STRIP wax requires the use of a non-woven strip to remove the wax. Ideal for speed waxing and large body areas.

How long should hair be before waxing?

With Cirépil hard wax, the hair can be as short as 1/8".Best results are when the hair is at least 1/4".

How long do waxing results last?

Results typically last between 3 to 4 weeks depending on hair growth.

Does waxing make hair grow back thicker?

No, waxing removes hair from the root and does not cause hair to grow back thicker.
